Congratulations to Petone Football Club and Wellington Olympic AFC for taking out the 2013 Caltex Railway Avenue Tournament for the Hilton Petone Cup Div 1 and Div 2 Finals respectively. For the third week in a row, the reserves were winners from the spot.
Road to 2013 FIFAU20 World Cup - Turkey: Van Elia finds the net once again as the Junior All Whites edge New Caledonia 3-2 in their third U20 World Cup Qualifier.
New Caledonia has given New Zealand it's second shock in a matter of days with their U-20 side nearly upsetting the Junior All Whites in Fiji.

Please note that due to the unavailability of Memorial Park the 2013 Caltex Railway Avenue Tournament for the Hilton Petone Cup Finals have been moved to Maidstone Park, Upper Hutt. A big thanks to Upper Hutt City FC for accomodating the changes.

He is on loan to Greek club Panathinaikos from his Russian club Alania Vladikarkaz until the end of the season. It suits him. Being of Greek heritage, he has settled quickly and feels comfortable at the Athens-based club.

New Zealand U20s has opened their campaign to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey with a 5-0 win against Papua New Guinea in Fiji. Wellington Olympic's Van Elia was an un-used sub for the Junior All Whites. Next up for Van and the Junior All Whites - Vanuatu, Sunday 23rd March.
