Weekend Wrap-Up

Federation Premier: Olympic 1, Wairarapa 4 Another loss with again early Olympic chances not taken. Wairarapa scored first with a goal from Nobby Stiles which was followed by a deflected free kick by Mark Cosey. Another goal followed soon after to make it 3-0. Steve Romijn scored a good goal for Olympic but Wairarapa finished strongly 4-1. Inexperience and "the lack of the killer instinct" are the achilles heal of this current Olympic Team. Federation Reserve: Olympic 0, Wairarapa 0 Olympic domintaed throughout and created several chances to take this game confortably. However poor finishing let the team down and have to be content with a draw. Capital 2: Olympic 0, Upper Hutt 5 No contest with Upper Hutt having an easy win. Olympic is starting to look out of their depth in this division. Capital 3: Olympic 5, Seatoun 2 Another good win for the "Police" team which keep them at the top of the table. Capital 10: Olympic 4, Seatoun 0 Excellent win for the "Doctors" which cements their 1st position in their division. Capital 13: Olympic 6, Uni Bombers 0 six zip, enough said! Olympic marches up the table Masters 1: Olympic 10, Western Suburbs B 0 Goals to Nick Liolis (4), Chris Christie (2), Nick Halikias (2), Spiro Androutsos (1) and Andrew Antonopoulos (1) consigned Western Suburbs to "watching" the Olympic players knock the ball around. Good dress rehersal for next weeks top-of-the-table clash with Island Bay.
