A solid if unspectacular win for Wellington Olympic, more importantly a second consecutive win, a clear sheet and great team effort against a side with eight or nine NZFC Manawatu players. Both halves were scrappy affairs, with Graham Little once again in great form and James Bannatyne displaying the form that lead him to full New Zealand honours and a Kingz contract.
A first half penalty to Geoff Brown after some fine lead up work from Jared Curtis, meant a one nil half time scoreline, the second half saw a couple of opportunities to both sides, with James Bannatyne holding the defensive line together well, with 15 minutes to go a superb goal by Graham Little sealed the match and the three points, and move the team into fourth place in the league, ready to push for a higher position in the remaining three games of the 1st round.
