2016 Central League | R4 Weekly Wrap

The bad news for rest of the Central League is table-toppers Napier City Rovers are only going to get better.

Napier went top courtesy of their 4-0 win over Petone on Saturday and Stop Out's 2-1 loss to Miramar Rangers.

Now, they will welcome back player-coach Bill Robertson, striker Saul Halpin and defender Fergus Neil from OFC Champions League duty with Team Wellington.

They didn't even need that trio to win at Petone Memorial Park over the weekend.

The game wasn't all one-way traffic, with Petone keeping them scoreless in the first half.

But Petone continued their run of poor second half performances, leaving Napier to take advantage, scoring early in the second half.

They maintained their dominance and two fabulous strikes from Josh Stevenson and Tom Biss had them up 3-0.

A final goal to Angus Kilkolly with 15 minutes to go sealed the win, and left Petone languishing at the bottom of the table.
