SENIOR TEAM INFORMATION

The following is important information pertaining to Olympic senior teams for 2023:

Wellington Olympic is fielding six senior teams this season:

• Central League (National League)

• Capital Premier (Reserves)

• Capital 1

• Wellington Division 1 (Olympic 4ths)

• Masters 2 ("TFTs")

. Wellington Women's Division 3

While we were celebrating Olympic's Central League championship, our 3rd team were just as successful with their reign in Capital 1 last season.  The team is filled with many former 1st team Olympic players who were written-off by most of their competitors, which shows that age is just a number and passion, determination and experience still plays a big part in staying in the competition.  Congratulations Capital 1!

The TFTs (Masters 2) celebrated their 30 years with the Club last season - a celebration in itself.  Unfortunately, between Covid and games being postponed, it was hard for the team to get any momentum to finish top three, but still managed top half of the table.

Olympic 4ths (formerly known as "Cosmos") is another team that couldn't get any momentum through the season, thanks again to Covid postponements that had them see a number of consecutive weeks without games.  Overall, the team did extremely well, finishing hard at the end to gain some points.

We welcomed our Women's team last year, coached by President, Paul Kotrotsos.  A number of our ladies had never played football and it was great to see them give it a real go.  It was more fun and laughter than goals, and the team enjoyed each game.  We're looking forward to having them all back this year!
