Captain Ben Mata celebrated his 100th appearance for Wellington Olympic on Sunday 28th May when he entered the field in the game against Western Suburbs.

Hailing from Auckland, Mata made a huge impact when he signed up to Olympic in 2019 as a 20 year old and soon became an Olympic favourite with the Club's staunch supporters.  With strong family values, a humble Mata has become a much loved leader and mentor to many in the Club and in the football arena at large.
